Founded in 1956, Deqing Senior High School was approved by the provincial government as the first batch of key middle schools in Zhejiang Province in 1978, was confirmed by the Provincial Education Commission as the first batch of key middle schools in Zhejiang Province in 1995, and became a demonstration school with characteristics of Zhejiang first-class ordinary high schools in 2015.
